Human Resources Officer
An immediate requirement for a HR Officer has arisen in a busy team at Twycross Zoo.
As a generalist role, your responsibilities will be extremely varied but will include:
- Employee Relations - advising on grievances, disciplinary , performance management and absence management
- Recruitment and Selection
- Training and Development
You must be an established HR Advisor with a strong generalist background and the ability to work on your own initiative and manage a diverse workload.
It is important that you are able to build relationships across the business and get up to speed quickly.
The ideal candidate will be CIPD qualified (or part qualified).
This role is full time 9.00am till 5.30pm - Monday to Friday, with free car parking.

Graphic Designer
We need someone to work full time as part of our Design Team. The successful applicant will create and develop design work to support the key activities within the department and provide a high quality and efficient service to the Zoo.
Key responsibilities will be to:
- develop and create electronic artwork as briefed for promotional materials, signage, reports, point of sale, exhibitions and advertising
- work with a wide range of media
- proof-read to produce accurate and high-quality work
- ensure all signage around the zoo adheres to brand standards
- keep abreast of emerging technologies in new media, particularly design programmes such as Quark Xpress, FreeHand, Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, 3D Studio, Acrobat, Director, Dreamweaver and Flash
- work as part of a team with printers, copywriters, photographers, other designers, account executives, web developers and marketing specialists
- assist the Senior Designer with their duties
Key skills and requirements are:
- to be exceptionally IT literate and confident
- to be competent in using - Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Acrobat.
- to be able to work on MAC & PC platforms.
- to be imaginative and design conscious
- to be able to cheerfully cope with changing priorities and be flexible in approach
- to have good communication skills with internal customers and external suppliers
- to have an interest in the Zoo's work and purpose
Normal hours of work will be 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday, with a 5pm finish in winter.
