Welcome to Twycross Zoo!
We are open 364 days of the year (only closed on Christmas day).
Come and see our comprehensive collection of primates, mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates and fish! We have over 1,000 animals on show including Bornean Orangutans, Asian Elephants, Inland Bearded Dragons, Northern White-faced Owls, Boa Constrictors, Red-kneed Tarantulas and many more.

Opening hours
The zoo is open daily throughout the year from 10.00am.
Himalaya is open every day from 09:00am for you to enjoy a hearty breakfast or beverage whilst enjoying the open view to our Snow Leopards - entry to Himalaya is free of charge.

To ensure that you get the most out of your visit, please note that Twycross Zoo is an outdoor attraction. It is advised that sensible and appropriate clothing and footwear is worn to offer protection against adverse and very sunny weather.
DOGS
Twycross Zoo does not allow dogs on Zoo property, this includes all car parking areas. We cannot allow your dog into the Zoo because some of the Zoo's animals will be upset by the sight of a dog and your dog may be upset by our animals. Guide and Assistance dogs are allowed into the Zoo but are unable to go into several areas for the above reasons. For further information on this please see the link on the left of this page.
